Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival at Kolkata
Kolkata - Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 02 : Kolkata / Guwahati
Fly to Guwahati, the most prominent city of Assam, situated on the banks of
the mighty Brahmaputra river. Visit Kamakhya Temple - a centre of tantric cult.
O/n at hotel.
Day 03 : Guwahati / Manas
Drive to Manas, a lush green wildlife reserve on the Bhutan border. Three rivers
run through the park which has abundant bird and animal life. Overnight in Jungle
Lodge.
Day 04 : Manas
Game viewing in the park by jeep and Elephant.
Day 05 : Manas /
Shillong
Drive along rolling hills covered with the lush forests and orchids from Manas
in Assam to Shillong - Capital of Meghalaya. Both states are known for their
matrilineal system whereby women inherit wealth and enjoy considerable power.
Day 06 :

Shillong is
surrounded
by tall elegant pines and rhododendrons and has a very pleasant climate. Morning
city tour. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 07 :

Full day excursion to the waterfalls of Cherapunji, "the wettest place
on the earth". O/n in hotel.
Day 08 :

/ Kaziranga
Drive from Shillong to Kaziranga, stay in a deluxe wildlife resort. O/n
Day 09 : Kaziranga
Kaziranga - take jeep and Elephant safaris into the park which is one of the
last remaining homes of the rare one horned Rhino. O/n in resort.
Day 10 : Tea Estate
Drive from Kaziranga to a Tea Garden Estate.
Day 11 : Kaziranga
Take walk to tribal villages.
Day 12 : Kaziranga / Tea Estate
Guwahati - Return to Guwahati for night. O/n in hotel.
Day
13 : Kolkata
Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Kolkata. Transfer to hotel. O/n
Day 14 : Kolkata onward
Transfer to International airport to board the flight for onward destination.
