The Royal Orient* is run on a similar pattern as the Palace On Wheels but
it provides insight into the Gujarat state. This train too has 13 saloons,
each with 4 cabins and attached bath and toilets. There are two restaurant
and one bar saloon. This is a meter guage luxury train offering a seven nights
package on full board basis.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi
Tea and dinner on board, thence leave from Delhi for Chittaurgarh.
Day 02 : Chittaurgarh
Arrive Chittaurgarh, breakfast on board. leave for Udaipur, lunch at hotel,
thence visit of Udaipur includinf Shilpgram. Leave for Junagarh. Dinner on
board.
Day 03 : Ahmedabad
Operational halt at Ahmedabad, breakfast and lunch on board Thence arrive
at Junagarh and visit museum, Mausoleum and Ashoka Rock Edict. Leave for Veraval
and visit Shiva temple at Somnath. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Sasangir
Early breakfast on board, arrive Sasangir. Visit Sasan Gir Lion Reserve. Lunch
on board. Visit Ahmadpur Mandvi beach and Diu (Fort and St.paul's church).
Dinner on board Leave for Palitana.
Day 05 : Palitana
Early breakfast on board, arrive Sasangir. Visit Sasan Gir Lion Reserve. Lunch
on board. Visit Ahmadpur Mandvi beach and Diu (Fort and St.paul's church).
Dinner on board Leave for Palitana.
Day 06 : Ahmedabad
Breakfast on board, arrive Ahmedabad, visit the Gandhi Museum, Textile Museum,
Hathising jain Temple, Adlaj Step Well, etc.
Lunch at the hotel and afternoon free for shopping. Tea and dinner on board,
leave for Jaipur.
Day 07 : Jaipur
Breakfast on board, arrive Jaipur, visit City Palace, Wind Palace, the Observatory,
thence lunch at the hotel. After- noon visit of Amber Fort with elephant ride.
Dinner on board Leave for Delhi.
Day 08 : Delhi
Reach at the Delhi Cantt station.
