The Currency exchange, immigration and custom formalities are done at Zangmu Border. After leaving Kathmandu, You will shortly join the highway and the ride is comfortable. The dense green valley greets you with sparkling rivulets and waterfalls sprouting out of the adjacement hills. As you join the SUN KOSHI river valley, the scene becomes mesmerising the famous TRISULI valley is close by.

These rivers originate from GOSIKUND about 130 kms. west of the track. The Puranas say that this lake was created by Shiva to cool himself after drinking the deadly poison while churning out the elixir. This is a famous pilgrim centre. These magnigicent valleys lie south of Langtang Himal, range. SHISHA PONGMA the second highest peak in Tibet (8013 metres) belong to this range.
This peak is worshiped as the abode of Shakti. You may experience unexpected rains or some road blockades after clearing through Nepal Outpost. The road after Friendship Bridge to Zangmu is very rough as the roads are not that good.

The altitude of Zangmu is 2300 metres and the town is laid out on hill slopes. Telephones facilities are available. Small shops sell utility items.

The drive takes you to NyALAM valley called " Valley of Happiness" and the altitude is 3780 metres. It is short & sleep drive **** which jeeps will have to go through many waterfalls.
