Situated in the district of Bhilwara it is an unprotected site which belong to Mesolithic period.The work at this site has yealded the evidences for the domestication of plants & animals, gradual development of the settle life dating 5000 BC.

The site of Gilund is bigger than Gilund& also provides a remarkable potential to understand the development of the village life of Mewar.This site throws light on the cultural processes involving origin,growth and decline starting around 5000 BC in this region.

The study at this site will enable us to understand the process of the domestication in this region,the excavation work at this site is likly to start in the first week of Feb'2002 and will last for the period of two weeks.
