Durbar square: is large & open place. there is a large colorful gate that opens
onto the square from the northwest. the gate was biult 300 years ago by King
Bupathindra Malla, just inside the gate is a wall, flaked by two large stone
lions & samller statues of the godess Durga & Bhairav, these two statues are
some of the finest stone carving in Nepal.
other attractions are: National Art Gallery, Sun Dhoka ( Golden Gate
),Palace of 55 windows, Taleju Temple,chyasin mandapa,Dattatreya Temple, Brass
& Bronze Museum, National Woodworking Museum Etc.
